Our Story
Every great destination begins with a dream. For us, the dream of Cocoland Farm Resort took root many years ago, long before the first tree was planted or the first tent was pitched. It was a dream born from a simple observation: that too many Ugandans travel far and spend too much money searching for peace, adventure, and connection — not realizing that all of it already exists right here in our own beautiful countryside.
On May 1, 2026, that dream officially came to life. Surrounded by community leaders, youth groups, tourism enthusiasts, and local farmers, Hon. Hajji Kazibwe Bashir Mbaziira cut the ribbon and opened the gates of Cocoland Farm Resort to the public. It was not just a launch event. It was a statement. A declaration that Uganda’s domestic tourism has a new heart — and that heart beats in Buikwe District.
More Than Just a Resort
Cocoland Farm Resort is not a hotel with a few trees planted around it. It is not a farm that decided to add a few guest beds. It is something different entirely.
Cocoland is an agro-tourism destination. That means we have deliberately and lovingly blended two worlds, Agriculture – the growing of food, the raising of animals, the nurturing of the land. Tourism – the art of welcoming guests, creating memories, and sharing experiences.
Why blend agriculture and tourism? Because we believe that tourism should not take from the land — it should give back. When you visit Cocoland, you do not just consume. You learn. You participate. You appreciate. You leave with a deeper understanding of where your food comes from, how coffee is grown, and why farmers are the true heroes of our nation.
But we also believe that learning should be fun. So alongside the coffee fields and vegetable gardens, we have built ziplines, football turfs, campfire pits, adventure parks, and cozy accommodations. At Cocoland, education and excitement walk hand in hand.
